My husband and baby (a year old Labradoodle) are soooo looking forward to vacationing in Taos. They seem to have a lot of dog friendly hikes nearby and we love the mountains.
However, I am having a difficult time finding a dog friendly upper scale hotel!! Can anyone help? Our baby is very well behaved and we love to vacation with him. We hike and lunch together, but my husband %26amp; I also love to party.
Any ideas or helpful hints would be wonderful!
Dog Friendly Taos - Please help!
Hello ACorvaia, Doing a search on the internet I found a web site that shows places in Taos that allow dogs.

Dog Friendly Taos - Please help!
El Monte Sagrado is dog friendly, if you book a suite like the Morocco most have a fenced in back area to hang with your pup while you%26#39;re in the hot tub. We%26#39;ve stayed at Casa Encatada with our pooch, nice large central yard to play in and I think the Old Taos Guesthouse is pet friendly also.
You can walk all over town with your dog, it%26#39;s very pet friendly. We always take ours down to the river side town of Pilar to play in the shallow spots in the river. Just be careful the current can be very strong in some areas, but there are plenty of nice areas to cool off in. If you%26#39;re out by Angel Fire there%26#39;s a lake near the golf area and Eagle%26#39;s Nest too.
Have a great trip - DM
Stop at Rocky Mt. Chocolate Factory on Taos Plaza they have yummy dog cookies dipped in white chocolate for a special treat.
Thank you so much for the info!!
We found a nice spot at Alpine Suites in the Ski Valley. It seems to be perfect since there are some nice trails that start there.
We will definitely be scouring the town for dog friendly bars and eating spots. Let me know what else you recommend.
Thanks Again!!!
The best place to eat and yes, it%26#39;s dog friendly, is Tim%26#39;s Stray Dog Cantina which is just next to the Alpine Suites. Have one of their margaritas with your taco plate and really enjoy the streamside deck! Just be sure to drink lots of water - the altitude will catch up to you.
The Bavarian also has a sunny deck with a beautiful view and terrific food and beer, dogs welcome.
Hi,
we are going to Taos in a couple of weeks. At what hotel did you stay in that allowed your dog?
Thanks,
Melissa
I found an excellent website for your needs, but it%26#39;s http: is too long to reprint here on TripAdvisor apparently.
Just go to Google, search TAOS HOTELS ';PETS ALLOWED';
Scan down to: Local Business results for hotels, ';pets allowed'; near Taos, NM
There are many listed in all price ranges. Enjoy your visit.
