Hyatt Place-Airport vs. Hyatt Place-Uptown vs. Embassy Suite

Can%26#39;t decide between these hotels.

We get in kind of late on a Thursday night traveling with an 8 year old. Will be staying in Alb. for 3 nights doing the usual touristy things (end of March). Can%26#39;t decide to just stay at the Hyatt Place-Airport all 3 nights; move to another hotel for the 2nd two nights; or stay at the one of the others for all 3 nights. The airport location is $107 for the 1st night and only $80 for the second two which is fantastic, but the Hyatt Place-uptown is only a little bit more. The Embassy Suite is quite a bit more ($150) so will probably rule it out even though it has the indoor pool, the better breakfast, and the manager%26#39;s reception. Anybody have anything to add to help me make the decision? Thanks!

It isn%26#39;t often that one can say, ';I don%26#39;t think you can go wrong...with any of the three.'; But, I am. If I were going to stay at one of the two Hyatt Place%26#39;s, I would go for the Hyatt-Place Uptown. ABQUptown is Albuquerque%26#39;s newest shopping, and restaurant area. The Hyatt-Place Uptown is a very new hotel, and within walking distance of both ABQUptown, and the Coronado Mall. All three are between Menaul Blvd., and Indian School Blvd, on Louisiana. You have instant access to I-40 also.

If you have an 8 year old, there is also a multiplex theater within half a mile, they might enjoy. You will have to drive a few miles to the major tourist attractions, but the H-P Uptown is generally speaking, in the middle of the city.

Those are excellent prices for Hyatt%26#39;s...but this is the ';off-season'; in New Mexico. If you choose this Hyatt, your arrival ';kind of late'; into Albuquerque, shouldn%26#39;t be a problem. Just go north on I-25, take the I-40 East exit...then proceed to the Louisiana Blvd. Exit, and north on that. The Hyatt-Place Uptown is actually about a half-block east of Louisiana, so once you are past ABQUptown, prepare to turn right. It should also be a relatively quiet hotel...at least 3/4 mile from the interstate.

The Embassy Suites is still my usual #1 recommendation, but it has garnered several worthy challengers in the past two years. Enjoy your visit.

Thanks for making (helping make!) the decision for me. I think I have too many decisions to make for this trip and I%26#39;m overloading. Please see my newest post if you want to help me make some more decisions. :-)
