Hey ABQ friends,
In anticipation of the Railrunner coming to Santa Fe (I’m so excited, I just can%26#39;t hide it!!!)
give us Santa Feans some ideas for day trips down the line.
Places to go near (or within bus connection) from different stops.
I plan on making full use of the 3 month free period!!
Railrunner Daytrip ideas
We can%26#39;t wait either!! My concern is with the day time schedule, not that many trips during non commute times.
We plan on some Saturday trips to ABQ to visit Downtown, Old Town and Nob Hill, plus the Zoo, Botanic Gardens/Aquarium with the help of the ABQ bus.
Railrunner Daytrip ideasI%26#39;m pretty sure that Santa Ana Casino west of Bernalillo will be having buses from the RailRunner stop in NE Bernalillo. I don%26#39;t know about Sandia Casino however. There are at least 3-4 restaurants within walking distance of the casino.
OK, ABQ friends, I am bringing this to the top! Need some creative ideas since the train is starting next week.
I am aware of the ';touristy'; things like Old Town, Zoo, ect but I am looking for other ideas.
Good breakfast place in Downtown to start our day??
I also am curious to the answers to this question. Will be attending Balloon Fiesta in 10/09 and using the RR as our main mode of transportation. Using the rail to go to BF, then on to SF, then back to hotel near Old Town...you get the idea. Would like some ideas for %26#39;can%26#39;t miss%26#39; areas to visit. Thanks.

You will need to check the train schedule during you visit. Currently there is no Sunday service. Once in Santa Fe, you will be able to see most places in town. There is a new free shuttle around the downtown area and the Santa Fe Trails bus takes you to Museum Hill and other parts of Santa Fe.
