Ski Equipment and Clothing in Albuquerque

Coming to Santa Fe and thinking may be smart to rent equipment in Albuquerque. Any suggestions?

Also, we may need some kids ski clothes. Does Walmart there still sell ski clothes this time of year? Any other suggestions?

For clothing...check on ';The Mountain'; link, which then includes the Wintermill Shop in Santa Fe at the La Casa Mall.

In Albuquerque, I do not know if Wal-Mart is still selling ski clothing (our Sandia Peak Ski Area closed early because of unusually warm days, and lack of snowfall) so sales slipped I%26#39;m sure. If they still do, there may be some very good sales going on as a result. Other area stores that sell ski wear include Sports Authority, REI, and Oshmans.

I%26#39;ve noticed some ';like new'; used ski apparel in a couple of our ';thrift'; stores. There is a very large Goodwill store, on San Mateo Blvd., just off I-25 to Santa Fe if you%26#39;d be interested. 5000 San Mateo Blvd. NE, (505) 881-6612.

I don%26#39;t believe walmart has ski clothes now. You might try Play It Again Sports. They have 3 locations here in town and one in Santa Fe, and you could probably call them individually to see if they%26#39;ve got what you need. I googled it and found them immediately: type in ';play it again sports albuquerque'; and then do the same thing for Santa Fe.

I think you%26#39;ll find it easier to rent equipment at Santa Fe than haul it with you from Abq. Especially at the end of the day when the equipment is wet and snowy, it%26#39;ll be nice to drop it all off at the bottom of the hill %26amp; wear your comfy boots back to your lodging.

I rented equipment at Santa Fe last year %26amp; found it to be perfectly adequate. Have fun!

Just rent equipment at the ski area. No more Play It Again Sports store in Santa Fe, closed long ago. You can get ski clothes at Big 5 on Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe, probably on sale. There also is a sale going on at the ski basin ski shop.
