I am planning a vacation to Santa Fe and Taos. I received this advice from my professor for my research on indigenous healing pratices...... ';Seek out woodcarvers, those that work with metal, and especially those craftspeople who make Santos. They will have powerful stories to tell you about their work, their inspirations, and their own healing process. I encourage you to gather stories and learn from these accounts';.....

I would start your search at the Museum of Spanish Colonial Arts here in Santa Fe www.spanishcolonial.org . Look at both bultos and retablos

Hi, I have a Santos (San Pasqual) made by Hector Rascon from Taos. The Taos artist association may be able to help you. Also, El Nicho in Santa Fe carries Santos and other folk art-they might be able to put you in touch with the artists.
