Golfing and Site seeing in Santa Fe area!!!!

Hi everyone!!

We are planning a trip to Santa Fe the last week of August 2009 and looking forward to it. We will be doing one day trips. We were thinking if there was a golf course that might have nice scenic views we might want to do that while we are there. We are also concerned there are so many beautiful and neat places to visit like Taos and neat places to eat that we are going to miss something so we are up for suggestions.

So please give us some suggestions, we are totally open!!!!!!!!

Thanks

Lary

I%26#39;d say the tram on top of the sandia%26#39;s in Albuquerque for dinner one afternoon, early dinner.

The ticket for the tram is $18.00 per.

But the views are spectacular.(unless your afraid of heights.(10,000FT dinner)http://www.sandiapeak.com/

There are some beautiful courses in Northern New Mexico. Here is the website for NM Golf Courses:

Twin Warriors and Paa-ko especially, have received national recognition. Twin Warriors is at Bernalillo. Paa-ko Ridge is on NM-14, the ';Backroad'; to Santa Fe from Albuquerque, also known as the ';Turquoise Trail.';

There is just so much to see in the Albuquerque/Santa Fe/%26amp; Taos areas.

May I suggest you go to the forum pages for each city, and then check out ';Things to Do,'; ';Restaurants,';etc. When you have gotten your priorities settled, (i.e. Hiking, Historic places, rafting, golf, museums, etc.) then come back and we%26#39;ll do our best to offer our opinions as to what specific ';must sees,'; and ';must do%26#39;s'; would be best for your interests.

Just off-hand a general few would include: Acoma Pueblo, the ';Sky City'; an hour west of Albuquerque off I-40...probably the oldest continuously inhabited village/town in the U.S.; Albuquerque%26#39;s Old Town area, the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, the diverse museums adjacent to Old Town, the aforementioned Sandia Tramway (if anyone has accrophobia, you can drive up the National Scenic Highway on the east side of the Sandias (many picnic areas) to the Sandia Crest for similar great views on a clear day of over 75 miles.); the Turquoise Trail (NM-14) to Santa Fe, Pecos National Monument east of Santa Fe; Bandelier National Monument near Los Alamos; Santa Fe%26#39;s entire central Historical District; the Indian and Folk Art museums on Camino Lejo; Taos Pueblo; the US64 bridge over the Rio Grande Gorge NW of Taos; Taos Plaza; the High Road and/or Low Roads to Taos. That%26#39;s just a ';few'; suggestions to get you started. :-)

Also look at Black Mesa, a gorgeous course just north of Santa Fe.
