Ski Rentals - Lift Tickets

I%26#39;ll be skiing with my 2 daughters next week at Sante Fe. I have their equipment needs covered and they%26#39;ll be taking lessons.

I%26#39;ll need to rent my equipment. Does anyone have any suggestions on this? We%26#39;ll be getting in late Thursday night and I%26#39;ll need to get them to the slopes by a little after 8am the next morning, so timing for getting my skis may be an issue (even if I reserve them online).

Also, are discounted lift tickets avaiable somewhere?

Thanks......

Today at the ski rental area (a Thursday morning) you would have had no problem getting ski rentals at the ski area, in probably less than 15 minutes! At 9:30 there were few people there other than the local groups visiting the mountain!

We are expecting snow this Sunday/Monday... should be great!

Thank you for the information. It does seem like it would be best to get to the slope early on our first day, get my girls in the ski school, and then get my equipment. Any good info from the locals is really appreciated.

I skiied yesterday at Santa Fe - GREAT skiing - no lines, great snow conditions - friendly people...we rented our ski equipment at Ski Santa Fe - right on the mountain - that way we did not have to carry our stuff around - plus it was cheaper than a place in Santa Fe that we priced....have a great trip - they are getting snow next week.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, rcbtravels. It%26#39;s great to know that the conditions are good. I don%26#39;t know how much the crowds will pick up due to it being Presidents Day weekend while we%26#39;re there (plus potentially new snow), but I%26#39;m hopeful it won%26#39;t be too bad. I%26#39;m glad your trip turned out well....

If you%26#39;re going to be renting skis over the Presidents%26#39; Day weekend I%26#39;d strongly recommend renting skis in town over the ski area - the lines for the rental shop at the ski area can be very long on holidays.

Alpine Sports at Water and Sandoval or Santa Fe Mountain Sports or Cottams are all good choices.

Enjoy.

Olvidado - I appreciate the advice. We%26#39;re getting in too late on Thursday for me to pick up skis in town and I need to get my girls to the ski school at 8:15 the next morning. I%26#39;m not sure I could get the skis early enough that morning in town. But I can look into it. Thanks
