Angel Fire vs. Taos Ski Valley
I will be in NM this weekend, and staying in Angel Fire, but have heard that the condition of the mountain is pretty bad right now. Is it worth the trip to TSV to ski, or is it going to be just as poor?
The mountain report says that there is more snow, but there hasnt been any recent dumps on either.
Skiing Conditions
Taos probably has the most base depth. Again, check here for particulars.

Skiing Conditions
It will take you an hour to drive from Angel Fire to Taos. The runs at Taos are apparantly all ';covered';, but conditions everywhere are less than ideal.
Check to see if Taos gets any snow on Friday night, there is some possibility that that may happen.
Good Luck, Have fun!
Looks like its snowing right now in Taos Ski Valley. More snow on the way tonight and tomorrow morning!
11 inches of fresh powder. More on the way today and tonight!!
11 inches?.. more on the way?..... should I pass on Vail/Breck/Keystone and just come to New Mexico?
I%26#39;m looking to drive somewhere CRAZY this weekend from San Francisco, CA....
thoughts?... how does it compare?
I already went to CO once this season, never been to New Mexico really... only as a child and of course that doesn%26#39;t count.
It is raining in Albuquerque this morning (9th), the first measurable moisture here since Dec.26th! That means more new snow up at Santa Fe %26amp; Taos Ski areas!
Check out current conditions at New Mexico%26#39;s ski resorts at: www.skinewmexico.com
Taos should be as good as anywhere in Colorado right now, and Santa Fe had a 50'; base last I checked, and 95% of it%26#39;s runs open.
Just don%26#39;t go ';too'; crazy! LOL!
