I'll be in Las Vegas NM tomorrow....

Anyone need me to get photos or info while I%26#39;m there???

Go ahead and post requests tonight and tomorrow. I will be on the internet most of the morning while there, we are going to an event for my son%26#39;s school at Highlands U.

I%26#39;ll post later with where we ate and other info. We hope to visit the LV Wildlife Refuge to see snow geese and cranes!

I'll be in Las Vegas NM tomorrow....

I heard a rumor that the entire town has been moved to Nevada. :)

I'll be in Las Vegas NM tomorrow....

-Lol- Mitch! Have a great trip Casa. We%26#39;re off now and are back in april...see you guys then again.

I would enjoy a report on the Las Vegas refuge CasaAzul. I enjoy Bosque so much. Has anyone been to the Maxwell Refuge south of Raton? I just wonder what the ';numbers'; of birds are compared to Bosque del Apache.

The southern tip of Nevada was once part of the Territory of New Mexico. So, I suppose they had the same problem then with two Las Vegas towns. Or...was Las Vegas (Nevada) even a town then?

Meanwhile, I think all NM-';Experts'; need to bone up on Las Vegas, Nevada, since we get so many questions regarding it. :-)

Well we are back from Vegas...still don%26#39;t know why people flock to the casinos there.. we didn%26#39;t see any, LOL!!!

School event went well. Went to lunch at Landmark Grill on the Plaza in the Plaza Hotel. Very nice meal in a beautiful room. Kid had Chicken Blue Corn Enchiladas with both red and green, very spicy and good. DH had a Reuben sandwich with green chile and a bowl of potato salad. Lots of food and very good. I had the Montezuma Sandwich, which is sauted chicken breast sandwich with green chile and jack cheese, had french fries which were more like wedges. Under $25 for 3 lunches (we drank water!)

The Wildlife Refuge was 5 miles outside of town. Much smaller and less built up than the Bosque del Apache. Not as many birds by far! We saw many hawks, sandhill cranes, snow geese and many ducks! Still was very nice to visit. I would like to go there another time.
