Where to stay?

I was wondering which area is the best to stay in while visiting Santa Fe in March. The plaza, vicinity or the south of the city?

Where to stay?

I usually recommend staying near the Plaza area, which is where many of the most visited sites are located as well as some great dining and shopping. You can find some decently priced places there as well.

Prices can be lower at the chain motels along Cerillos Road to the south. Lots of restaurants both local and chain, shopping and big box stores.

I also recommend staying within walking distance of the Plaza as parking in that area is difficult and if stay in that area, you can walk to the museums, galleries and restaurants.

If you are just passing through and not interested in the Plaza area, then stay out on Cerrillos Road where the rates will be less. You also have plenty of restaurants in that area as well.
